Last week my friend Anne(above photo on the right) played in a Rally for the Cure event. I sent her t-shirts so here she is with her friend, Ann, wearing the Team L’Amour shirt on the links in Connecticut. I don’t know how much they raised for Susan Komen but I know Anne to be a fierce competitor –she was a cracker jack swimmer in High School. Anyway, this is what it is like when you are loved. Right now I feel very loved by my friends and family who walked and by my friend Anne who found a way to give in her hometown so far away. Anne was my first friend when we moved across town for fourth grade. We stood up for each other at our weddings and have been there for each other for 37 years. When I called to tell her about my illness she came flying out after my surgery for a visit. I really could not ask for a better friend.
