Characters and NaNoWriMo

For my #NaNoWriMo folks– both first drafters and rewriters out there–go grab my 25 questions here: 25 Questions.

This will also pop you onto my mailing list which includes some writing exercises at the start and then my once a month newsletter “Fresh Off The Press”. Chockfull of things to help you become a better writer and opportunities for you to share your writing with the world. Just an FYI–this is not a sales pitch and I rarely send more than one email a month.

For those of you just getting to know me for the first time…

I created a group of 25 questions to create compelling characters. This list is always growing and some of those I share in this blog or in the newsletter. I hope it will help you come up with your own questions that help you deeply develop characters for your work. For NaNoWriMo writers these will become invaluable as you work on your drafts.

It works for me.

Please follow me on my social media for the November tip of the day. 30 days 30 writing tips to help you move through your first draft or fifth draft!

How is it going for you so far?

Let’s join together this month and cheer each other on so we don’t feel so alone. Writing is a solitary art most of the time.

I have committed to an hour each day of rewriting and I am hoping to get more in. I am keeping a time log so that I can keep moving forward in my rewrite along with college exploration trips and Thanksgiving.

So in between packing and working I am writing.

I am supposed to be cooking too…Hmm better pull out the slow cooker for this month.
