Yesterday morning Facebook Memories sent me a reminder. 7 years ago I was about to start teaching my Creative Writing course and Literature to the 6th grade, our daughters were entering 2nd and 6th grade and I was 25 days away from a cancer diagnosis. Sometimes the facebook memories are funny, sometimes sad, this one was surprisingly neutral for me. I am kind of in awe of where I came from right now. Today, right here right now I am fine. I had an old classmate put up a post in need of some support. She was down or troubled and finding it hard to begin the next step. I reminded her of our (Marymount High School LA) Sister Margaret’s advice that has seen me through so much.
