NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) is almost here.
I will not be partaking in the normal manner. I am not beginning a novel from scratch but am editing and rewriting instead.
However there is so much ENERGY surrounding NaNoWriMo that I want to be a part of it.
I want to be a part of the word counts and excitement and enthusiasm.
Are you like me?
Not ready to start a new novel but feeling left out of the encouragement that comes of being a part of a national movement?
I have a plan…Here is how we will do it!
First we will focus on time spent and pages covered rather than words. Word counts are awesome if you are beginning a novel but once you are in the thick of your second or third or ???? Draft word counts become less important. Instead what you change or improve or remove is what counts. So…pages and time.
Every day in November I will be posting something to do that will keep you going. (Above is a preview) The pic will remain the same most likely but the caption will change. Those of you used to my long posts on instagram will find the posts shorter as I am trying to post everyday.
In order to get in on the action you must follow me on social media—links are below…
I am calling this #NaNoWriMoFoMo. Please use the hashtag and share the posts! I am hoping to encourage all of us who are at a different stage of our writing.
By all means go check out what the #NaNoWriMo folks are up to but if you need something a little different…
If you follow me as a reader I will be posting other things as well but the focus this month is on getting it done.
